About
I was born with a maker's mind - whether drawing, writing, or baking, creating has always been a joy for me. This innate passion for creation led me to discover product design by accident. While working at a small contemporary art center, I became the exhibit designer, and something clicked. Organizing artwork into a clear, accessible flow and using signage to guide visitors fascinated me. This experience in exhibit design set the stage for my journey into the world of HCI and product design.
Building on this foundation, I've spent two decades in design, shaping user experiences for innovative companies. My approach transforms complex challenges into customer-friendly solutions, blending my love for hands-on creativity with strategic vision. From my early days as a designer and researcher to leading product design teams, I've always focused on understanding and advocating for the customer. I believe in the power of research-driven design to not only solve problems but to uncover opportunities to drive business growth.
This creative spirit extends beyond my professional life. When traveling, I love to look take in what's unique to the culture, from architectural detail to street art. I capture what I see through photography. Of course, I also love to visit musuems and take in the artwork and objects of different cultures. At home, I experiment with cooking and baking (ask me about my killer chocolate cake recipe!) and I am a serious movie nerd. Whether I'm crafting a new customer journey, fostering a collaborative design culture, or pursuing personal interests, I bring the same enthusiasm to every endeavor. I'm excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible with design, always with the consumer at heart and the joy of creation as my guide.
